2010 Christmas

This year we got a WHEAT GRINDER! Wohoo! I know to some it may not be that big of a deal, but Joe and I were so grateful to have such a great addition to our year supply.  It took alot of work to grind a just enough to make a loaf of bread.  I think it took about 4 hours, it was a lot of work! It sure made us grateful for electrical wheat grinders though.  See above the great video of Joe hard at work! We had fun and enjoyed grinding wheat together Christmas night! :)

2010 Halloween

This year we got carried away with the costumes.  We dressed up our dogs. Yikes! Watch out Joe! Well I must admit, their costumes looked great! Oakley was a football, and Brody was a Lil' Devil.  Oakley didn't mind his outfit, but Brody was freaking out.  It was hilarious! He would practically just sit still the whole time the outfit was on him.  (I don't think he liked it...)

Lava Caves in Northern Arizona

Just this last Fall in October, Joe and I hiked the Lava Caves with his family.  These caves were underground.  The entrance to the cave was just this massive hole in the ground, it was crazy!.  It was very dark, and cold.  When we were about 30 feet to the entrance of the cave, you could feel a cold draft of air and you could tell the dramatic drop in the temperature. In fact it was so dark, that when we turned our flashlights out, we couldn't event see our own hands in front of us.  At times the cave would get so small we would have to crawl on the ground and other times the height of the ceiling cave was huge!  I had never gone a hike like this before, it was a one of a kind experience.  We had a blast!
